In-Home Respite:
Direct Services Support
SIS will provide supervision to a consumer (non-medically) for an intermittent and/or regularly scheduled temporary period. SIS will maintain usual routines and basic needs of consumers by providing supports and supervision in the following areas but not limited to daily living routines, self-help needs, socialization. The curriculum of In-home Respite includes, but is not limited to:
1:1 support (unless specified), @ 12-40 hours per month (personalized to meet client’s needs)
Meal Planning
Meal Preparation
Home Management
Self-Care/Personal Hygiene
Basic self-help needs/daily routines
Self- advocacy
Community/home safety
Parenting skills/resources (if applicable)
Process to become a client:
Clients of interest must be receiving services/funding from San Diego Regional Center (SDRC). If the client of interest is not receiving services and would like to begin the intake process with SDRC, they may visit https://www.sdrc.org/apply for additional information. Once the client of interest is approved with the San Diego Regional Center for services and/or has a planning team meeting with SDRC to discuss his/her interest in this program with their assigned San Diego Regional Center Service Coordinator and/or the Program Manager of their assigned unit should their case be temporarily unassigned, the Service Coordinator/Program Manager may contact Social Impact Services directly for a referral.
